What exactly is the difference with paintshop and photoshop? Are they even made by the same company?

I think photoshop is adobe but i don't know about paintshop.

that is really amazing. I was skeptical at first but wow. I never have the patients to build in layers i always aim at the peak and i doesn't look half as good as yours.

Paintshop pro and Photoshop seem similar on the surface, though Paintshop Pro seems to have a bigger emphasis on filters. I found photoshop quite easy with those two tutorials and some playing around. The easy Opacity option for each layer I feel is one of its best features IMO.

Though I have seen some incredible artwork with Paintshop, Raikoufighter's NiGHTS and Sonic work are awesome and it's all Paintshop pro to my knowledge.

As an aside, Joz, did you keep drawing? Just thought it would be interesting for us to see how your style had progressed in the last four years.

Nah I stopped in Sept 2007 according to my Last main Deviation on my DeviantART page. I did give a go at a TGN ghostbusters banner that should be in the creative thread.

When I upgraded my computer my copy of Flash 5 wouldn't work with Vista. I downloaded a new copy of Flash but it doesn't work all that well. That and I just can't find the time or the enthusiasm to draw/write like I used to.
