Anyone excited for this? For me, its the biggest game release in a long time. Pumped hundreds of hours into D2 so im praying this lives up to expectations.

Right well most of you know I work in a "secret job" well today you get to find out a little about what I do :yay:

Part of what I do is detect fake bank notes, but why am I telling you this if its supposed to be a secret, its because I'm starting to get a bit worried about people not knowing when a bank note is fake. Lately I've been seeing some forgeries that well 95% of people would not take a second look at, and I don't want anybody from TGN getting stuck with a fake £20 note thats not worth the paper its printed on. So I'm going to post up a little guide on how to detect fake bank notes like a pro!

The one absolute don't ignore this rule is:

DON'T JUST CHECK THE WATERMARK!!!!!!111!!11one111!!!!!

Its the one thing forgers are getting very good at, some of the forgeries I've been coming across most people would just think its real. So the trick is to check some of the other security features

Paper: It should be crisp, and non Waxy, it should feel like quality paper not thin flimsy stuff

Print Quality: It should be pin sharp, and straight on the paper.

Hologram: On the older style notes with a small hologram sticker thing it should change between the value of the note and Britannia, on the new £20 note strip it should alternate on each circle between the guy on the back of the note and £20, it should also have £20 etched into it somewhere on that strip. the new £50 has a different holographic strip, it should just say £50 and it should move around in a ghosty sort of way as you tilt the note (you will know what I mean when you see it, its hard to describe but its a very noticeable effect)

Raised lettering: The words "Bank of England" should feel raised on all notes (unless they are very well worn) also on the new £20/£50 notes on the right hand corner of the front of the note the little box of £20/£50 under the queens head should be raised as well.

Metallic Thread: on all notes apart from the £50 their should be a thread, woven into the back, and I mean woven not just printed on. The new £50 note has one embedded in fully, you should be able to see it if you hold it up to the light.

There is also a few other features like the see through register on the new style notes that will appear if you hold it up to the light, Micro lettering on the queens portrait that should say the value of the note and secret ultraviolet designs :D

The main thing is just check the watermark AND something else, I've never seen forgery that can do any other security feature well. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to check any bank notes given to you, that is exactly what the forgers want!

I did one of these ages ago but seeing as we've had a full hardware generation since then let's have some more!

I had 20 mins on it, and to say this game has had my attention for a while, I was a bit disappoint.

I can't believe this hasn't already got a thread. It's the new "Smash Bros" for the PS3. It was recently confirmed with some characters too. Characters so far are Parappa The Rapper(best character ever), Kratos, Fat Princess, Radec, Sweet Tooth and Sly. Here is some gameplay of it.

It's called Game Center CX and it's fucking hilarious.



Each week comedian Shinya Arino goes into a conference room and is given an old video game. They won't let him leave until he finishes the game or they run out of time. He starts playing around 10am and he has until about midnight to beat the game. But Arino is not very good at video games. While he's a nerd he hasn't really played video games in a long time. So even easy games are an uphill battle for him.



Arino reacts to the games with a good-natured humor. He's cheerful in the face of the worst games. He's gets tripped up by the oldest tricks and then laughs it off. And when Arino manages to succeed his joy comes through.

When he's not playing that week's game Arino takes trips to local arcades, gets life lessons taught to him from old strategy guides by a monk, calls fans of the show for advice on beating other games, or other even more surreal things.

I'd recommend that you skip over the April fools episode at the top of the list. Go straight for S01E01 - Takeshi No Chosenjo. Season one is different to the others in that Arino's Challenge is actually a small segment of the show, rather than the meat of the thing. After the challenges proved to be wildly popular, the focus of the show shifted.
So, season 1 is the perfect introduction! Bitesize! So if you don't like what you see in season 1. Fuck off somewhere else lol.

So the Snooker is on at the moment at the most sacred of Snooker venues - the Crucible.

It has been a decent start to the tournament with Hendry's 147 and the young Belgian lad Luca loosening up and showing everyone what he can do on the baize.

I've decided that I'm just not using my Vita enough to warrant having it anymore, and I could really use the money it brings in to put towards getting a swish Digital SLR camera :)

Well, then...



Up for grabs is a Playstation Vita, the Wi-Fi model, that I bought at launch. The console itself, barring the odd fingerprint, is as immaculate as when I first opened it. No scratches, no chips, no dents, no nothing. As I was in the habbit of always returning it to it's original packaging sleeve when not in use. The console comes complete in it's original box, with all of the instruction manuals, leaflets, cables and power supply, along with the AR cards (which I never even opened).



You'll also be receiving Rayman Origins too (boxed and complete). Which, whilst being a wonderful game in it's own right, is also the perfect showpiece to really show off the Vita's outstandingly beautiful screen.

I'll be leaving an 8GB memory card in the Vita for for you as well. As it took me a while to open the slot to put it in there in the first place heh. But with that you'll be able to save your photos, videos and all of your game files (as most Vita games don't save onto the cartridge). The memory card will give you plenty of room to download titles from the PS store as well, I wholeheartedly recommend Motorstorm RC by the way. It's fantasic!

And how much am I asking for all of this goodness? £180, including 1st class P+P. Go on, you know you want to.

The best thing about it is that you can play any and all of the DLC you currently own for Rock Band on Blitz and the songs that come with Blitz will be playable on Rock Band 3 instantly! Fucking awesome.
